Ribbons for a Cure, Inc. (RFAC) was established in April 2017 as a non-profit organization in the U.S. Virgin Islands. The primary purpose of the organization is to provide cancer outreach and support in the community through education and awareness initiatives.

The ultimate goal is to fully educate the U.S. Virgin Islands population on the signs, symptoms and risk factors of all types of cancers so that early detection can help save lives. The high prevalence of cancers and the high incidences of cancer mortality in the U.S. Virgin Islands were the impetus for establishing the organization.

RFAC’s outreach consists of cancer education, caregiver support, and the development and maintenance of a data registry.

The vibrant colors displayed in the RFAC logo, represents the combination of many different types of cancers that exist.

Ribbons for a Cure, Inc. focuses on awareness of all types of cancers. Many cancers are forgotten or unknown, and therefore, may be overlooked as other non-threatening health conditions if the patient is not aware of the signs and symptoms.

Our goal is to empower our community by providing timely, relevant and useful information on cancer. So that if one becomes affected, treatment can be sought early and our community can benefit from a better quality of life.
